When the three wise men heard the good news of
Jesus' birth, they traveled a great distance to
worship him, "Glory
to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will
toward men" (Luke 2:14). The
shepherds who heard those words hurried from their
nearby pastures to where baby Jesus, wrapped in
swaddling clothes, was lying in a manger. All paid
homage to Him there.
As we enter the
season for celebrating the birth of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ and this special time for
giving, let us reflect on ways by which we can
worship Christ. First and foremost we can offer up
our prayers. Another way is being a blessing to
others through our actions, especially to our
Christian brothers and sisters in the Holy Land.
Although we have
witnessed many challenges this year, our faith in
God has given us much hope and resilience as we
continue to build bridges of solidarity with the
Holy Land. We do so faithfully and lovingly by
providing programs that are critical to our
Christian brothers and sisters in the Holy Land. "Dear
friends, let us love one another, for love comes
from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God
and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know
God, because God is love" (First John 4:7-8).
HCEF is grateful for the continuous and steadfast
support of friends like you! Together, we have the
ability to make a change for the better in the Holy
Land. Your spiritual, moral, and financial
contributions enable us to improve the lives and
livelihoods of our Christian brothers and sisters
being instruments of peace, we engage and transform
hearts and minds.
Please join us
in being instruments of peace for our Christian
brothers and sisters in the Holy Land! Share your
resources in support of one or more of our HCEF
I hope you will take the time to see some of the
highlights your contributions have made possible and
that you will consider giving once more to help us
meet our goal of raising $50,000 by December 31st.
Your tax-deductible support in the amount of $500,
$125, $25, or whatever you can afford yields
"In the same way, let your light shine
before others, that they may see your good deeds and
glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).
May God bless you and keep you. And may you always
remember that no act is too great for our Lord.
work together to replace despair with HOPE, fear
with HUMAN SECURITY, and humiliation with DIGNITY".
God Bless you and your family this Christmas
